What a Watermelon 4th of July!

This is the beautiful Cow Parade (Harrisburg, PA, 2004) cow,"Watermelon Helen!" I decided she was the perfect cow to represent our 4th of July celebration. The whole day was a tribute to summer.
Bob and Tim know what to do with watermelon. Looks like Tim knows what to do with watermelon seeds. Look out, Bob!
The 4th of July is America's birthday, and my family and friends love to celebrate. It was a whole day of good food and fun for everyone.

Connor, Michael, and Colton are going for a ride on the jet ski. Everybody had a good time at Larry and Nancy's house on the 4th of July. How many kids can fit in a kayak? Carolyn, Colton, Macie, Michael, and Haley are having fun drifting along. I hope they plan to paddle!

Here I am in Atlanta, 2003, with the original watermelon cow. She has three fancy crows on her back and her head bobbles. What more could you want from a member of the cow parade? Thanks for the memories, Watermelon Helen! Talk about a watermelon memory from the past! Here Papa Larry is going to cut the watermelon for Kellie, William, and Lawrence when they were little children way back in 1980.
