Today Is A Good Day For Chocolate

This Cow Parade (Harrisburg, PA, 2004) sweetie is called "Miss Udder Lee deLishiss." She is the perfect cow for today because I am dog sitting my oldest granddog, Guinness. He is a twelve year old Chocolate Lab.

This is Guinness back before Abigail and Amelia were born. He was younger then and received more attention from Gina and Will, but I think he would agree with me that his life is more interesting now.

This is my favorite Guinness picture of all time. That's Abby in the pumpkin. What will these young mothers think of next?

This is another fond Guinness memory. He made friends with a turtle. The turtle wasn't a bit scared of Guinness. By the time I thought to get the camera, they were tired of each other, and Guinness was back to fetching the stick.

When I tried to get him to smile for the camera today, he just covered up his eyes, as if to say, "Grandma, leave me alone."

That's okay, old buddy, I know you miss Abigail and Amelia. I promise, as soon as I'm finished with this blog, we'll go out and play fetch.

I think Guinness is quite a bit older than that, but definitely young at heart. He is such a good dog. He cracks me up when he covers his face like that. Thanks so much for taking care of him. He says thank you for playing fetch.
