Up on the Farm

Here comes the farm golf cart with Mamaw, Papaw, and Macie on board. Looks like getting around up on the farm is fun. Taking care of the cows is plenty of hard work. We all love to go visit, but only Uncle Frank wants to live there.

The only responsibility these cows have is to give birth to beautiful calves like this one. The bull gets the easy part, if you call keeping forty wives happy easy. Cows just make you smile, don't they?

The cows up on the farm spend their days munching grass and hanging out. The best part of their day is early in the morning when Papaw and Frank fill their troughs with all the extra good stuff they love to eat. Breakfast for the cows consists of produce that has been pulled off the grocery store shelves, bread that is too old to sell, cotton seeds, and soy husk pellets. Sounds delicious, doesn't it? The farm is a cool place to hang out for cows and folks who think cows are neat. I can't bear the thought that any of them ever leave here for any other place except another great farm. We don't say the beef word outloud around these cows.

These cows are really just pets. Isn't that just the sweetest thing? Look at Abigail and her daddy William feeding the cow.
