This is a shot of Taormina's 10,000-seat ancient Greek amphitheater, Teatro Greco, which was erected in the third century BC and expanded by the Romans. The view of Mount Etna and the sea beyond is absolutely superb from here. I think the bricks are a lovely shade of pink.
Of course, I had to have something to remember this great city and the day of fun we had here. There were so many shops and so little time, but I found exactly what I wanted. It even has the most beautiful pink flowers with real gold highlights. It wasn't easy getting it back home, but it was worth all the trouble. Thank goodness it was wood, not ceramic. It has the perfect place in my home. It complements the window in my front door. Best of all, it reminds me of the wonderful time I had with my family.

Happy Pink Saturday! Having lived in Florida most of my life, I have a special warm spot in my heart for gorgeous pink architecture. But listen to this: there is a pink castle not that far from where I live. Honestly! It belongs, of all things, to the Al Fayeds! :-) Stacey

Hi Grandma Faith!
Thanks for your warm welcome to my first Pink Saturday post!
I loved Italy --my husband was born there in Calabria which is across from Sicily! We didn't get a chance to visit Taromina when we were there -- maybe next time! It's very pretty!
Loved the pictures, wow, what a great trip that must have been! Happy Pink Saturday!
Thank you for your comment. God truly helped us to grow those roses. Each year is a new adventure in the garden!

Great pictures! Thanks for visiting my post! To answer your question. I don't know how many spools of thread I own. But two storage boxes that hold 40 each are full. But I have more than that plus all the cone thread too. I should have included my pink cone thread in the picture too. I did't think of that at the time. Happy Pink Saturday!
