I Feel The Need To Cruise

"Cowlumbus" from Cow Parade (Barcelona, Spain, 2005) takes her inspiration from Christopher Columbus, the widely acclaimed traveller from back in 1492. She gets to be the cow-of-the-day today because I have become inspired to do some travelling myself. Thankfully some of my beloved family members have volunteered to accompany me. You know they are going to be glad they did!

Just look at my handsome grandson, Connor. He is in the tenth grade now. He is a great kid. He works hard at school. He's active in his youth group at church. He plays football. He minds his parents. He is good to his grandma. Who wouldn't want to go on a cruise with him?

Just look at my handsome son, Lawrence. He works hard everyday at his job. He keeps his room clean. He helps keep the house tidy. He minds his own business. He smiles at his mama. Who wouldn't want to go on a cruise with him?

Just look at my gorgeous daughter, Kellie, and her precious daughter, Macie. They are so sweet, and so much fun to be with. I remember the good time we had when we all went cruising the Mediterranean Sea. Who wouldn't want to go on another cruise with them?

How about this man of the sea, my adorable husband, Bob. He is awesome in so many ways. He is the icing on my cake. He's the best mate a girl could want. I'm sure everyone who knows him would want to go on a cruise with him.

There you have it. I could no longer resist the urge to book the cruise. Only 286 days from now, June 11, 2009, we will take off for London. From there we will set sail for northern Europe on the Carnival Liberty. I am so excited, I have butterflies in my stomach. I realize that's pretty far off in the future, and things could happen between now and then that could change our plans. But the deposits have been paid for plane tickets, hotel rooms in London, and cabins on the ship. I've just got to come up with the rest of the money by March. I think I'll go buy a lottery ticket!

I am so excited for you! Yay! And I hope you get to spend some time in London, too? I've only been there once and loved it. Even though it is a ways down the road, it is so nice to have a special trip to look forward to, isn't it?
